Alan Jordan has been a dedicated massage therapist and educator since 1987, deeply committed to the transformative power of touch. He founded and served as Executive Director of the Tennessee Institute of Healing Arts, a nationally accredited massage and neuromuscular therapy school in Chattanooga, TN, for 15 years. In addition to leading the school, Alan maintained a thriving private massage therapy practice within the school's Integrative Health Clinic. During this time, he actively contributed to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) by holding leadership roles as President, Education Chair, and Treasurer for the Tennessee Chapter.

From 2003 to 2010, Alan expanded his reach as Campus Director and Instructor for massage therapy schools in Florida and New Jersey, ultimately becoming National Director of Education for the Cortiva Institute network of schools in Hoboken, NJ. His dedication to education led him to design and contribute to curriculum development for fifteen massage therapy schools across the United States.

Alan's passion for therapeutic touch extends beyond his practice. He is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist and a Level 1 Neuromuscular Therapy Instructor through the International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) in St. Petersburg, FL. He holds a BA in Holistic Studies from Vermont College of Norwich University, where his culminating research focused on the connection between early childhood touch deprivation and violent behavior in later life.

In 2008, Alan established Intuitive Bodywork Massage Therapy in Edgewater, New Jersey, and later relocated to Downtown New Cumberland, PA, in 2010. His practice is rooted in the belief that safe, nurturing touch is fundamental to optimal physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He states, "I believe that safe, nurturing touch is essential to achieving optimal health, mental and emotional well-being, and performing to our full quality of life potential." This belief underscores his commitment to providing his clients with comfort, reassurance, and a profound sense of healing.

Alan's extensive education and experience have led him to specialize in pain management, mind-body healing, and women's health. His expertise in these areas is a testament to his dedication to providing comprehensive care and fostering a sense of confidence in his clients.
